Started in 1959 by Ted L. Phillips in Jefferson Indiana, the business catered to the local Tool &
Die Industry as well as sharpening saw blades and tools.
When Carbide Tipped Saw Blades started becoming popular by industry and home owners, the business
started to invest in automatic grinding machines to re-sharpen these new saw blades. The new saw
blade tip (Carbide) helped bring the grinding machine manufacturers into the future too.
 Phillips Saw & Tool now has invested heavily in new equipment. State of the art machinery that
produces the best tooling, and re-sharpens your blades to their original specifications.
Along the way our Band Saw Blade business has grown with our Circular Blade business. We have
several high production Band Saw Blade welding machines. We weld up tens of thousands of blades and ship out UPS daily.

Along with world class equipment, our staff is continually trained in advancements in cutting, tooling and hammering.
- In 2005 we started manufacturing the Talon Nail Cutting Saw Blade. Experience from our own Pallet Dismantling
customers told us they needed a better product. We were seeing cracked plates and broken carbide teeth. So our
plates are designed against cracking and our carbide is made to hit a nail without shattering.
- In 2006 we pioneered a new Cermet Saw Blade – Cer-Tip Saw Blades.

- In 2007 we brought Vari-Pitch Teeth into a Circular High Speed Steel Cold Saw Blade.
- Today we are working with Tool Coating Companies and Grinding Machine manufacturers, bringing the best products to market.
